Other Parts Discussed in Thread: HALCOGEN
Does anyone know why in Halcogen 03.03.01 there is no IAR option? I see the option in the 2.09.001 release.
Thanks

Hello David,
I checked this with the tool a bit more and found the reason why the IAR and ARM tools are not showing in the drop down is because when you first open the "New Project" window, the TMS470M family (first option in the list) is selected by default. There is no support for this family from IAR and ARM so these options do not show up which is consistent in the prior versions of Halcogen as well. If you select any of the other device families, the IAR and ARM options show up.
Hello David,
I am not aware of any specific examples that can be provided. Perhaps the software manager for HalCoGen who is on copy to this thread can add details and provide guidance in what would be needed beyond what HalCoGen provides.
Hi David,
2.09.001 had the Drop down option but there was no real Driver support for IAR / KEIL. In-spite you select IAR the generated code was for Texas Instruments only. I remember from 3.x we removed the drop down option and had this support as enhancement requirement for HALCoGen.
3.04.00 is planned for end of December 2012, which will have this supported.
