Dear all,
unfortunately within the TMS570 datasheet I have not found any note regarding built-in ESD protection of input / output points. Do the TMS570 ports (GIO, ADC,..) include some ESD protection circuits (e.g. simple pair of diodes) to save / cut a PCB space for additional ESD protections and connection lines? If does, which parameters are available in the TMS570 device?
I suspect that due to a limited space of silicon die such a protection cannot be implemented, so there must be external e.g. SMD protection (http://www.ti.com/lit/ml/sszb130b/sszb130b.pdf) mounted, right?
