Hi Daniel,
I think the TMS470M E2E could help with this question then. I will move this post over.
Best Regards,
Wen-Shin Wang
That's the second time this thread was moved :)
I was hoping somebody at TI could simply look up the values and tell which device it was.
Hello Daniel,
I am currently out of pocket but will look this up for you when I get into the office.
Hello Daniel,
So far I have not been able to locate the part number to identify any relavent documentation for it. However, I am still investigating. Due to the age of this part number, I have enlisted the help of some of our more senior applications engineers to see if it can be identified. I appreciate your patience while we track it down.
Hello Chuck,
Thanks for looking.
The device is on an application board from Valeo. Perhaps it was a chip specifically designed for them?
Hello Daniel,
I found that this device is a variation on the TMS470R1VF3382EPZQ device which has the corresponding datasheet SPNS077 which can be accessed at www.ti.com\lit\spns077
The issue here is, the datasheet that is delevered by the link is revision J and does not list the specific part you are working with (TMS470AVF3388IPZQ) in the associated part number table. It does show up in a later revision of the DS which is not available to the general public for some reason. I am researching to find out if this is a general oversight or if there is a specific reason why it is not released to the public.
In the mean time, we have a couple of choices.
1. You can reference the rev. J datasheet with the understanding that your part is a variation of those listed in the datasheet with the only differences being that it is packaged in a Green (Pb-Free) package and that the '8' instead of the '2' means there is 28k of RAM vs 24k of RAM.
2. If your company has an NDA with TI and you can provide me with the NDA information via private message, I can send you the later revisio of the datasheet in return via private message.
Please let me know how you would like to proceed.
Perfect, thank you very much for your time Chuck!
It was in the device family I thought. The link you gave me was the datasheet I was already referring too. So that makes life easier. I will contact you via private message for the updated datasheet.
