In TMS470MF06607 use of peripheral IO pins as GPIO

Sir,

Since our microcontroller supports only 4GPIO as per the datasheet, they are not sufficient for our project. So can we use the other 51 peripheral IO as GPIO if no peripherals are required? In the datasheet this thing is not mentioned.

  • Aditee,

Almost all peripheral pins supports GIO function without the interrupt capability on the input signals. After a reset, almost all I/O pins are configured as GIO input (Hi-Z). You will need to set them up for peripheral functional mode. Please check the peripheral module user guide for details.

    Thanks and regards,
