Does NWDAT12 Register SET after successful transmission of CAN Messages

Hello Support,

In the TRM spnu517.pdf, NWDAT12 Register is supposed to be SET upon successful Transmission Message Objects from DCAN Peripheral.

I am unable to get NWDAT12 Register SET during Transmission of Messages.
Does NWDAT12 Register SET after successful transmission of CAN Messages as mentioned below?

Can you please confirm?

Thank you
Regards
Pashan

  • Pashan,

I've transmitted your question to our DCAN experts and waiting for their comments.

I will be back to you as soon as possible.

  • Hi Pashan,

the NewDat bits are cleared upon transmission of a messsage. This is stated in 20.2.8.3.

The statmement in 20.3.12 which you were referring to has be understood as follows:

"The NewDat bit of a specific message object can be set/reset by the CPU via the IF1/IF2 Interface Register sets, or by the Message Handler after reception of a data frame or after a successful transmission."

    Best regards

    Andreas
