Hi,
Is there a possibility of turning off one of the cores in the TMS570? The current draw while idling, non-sleep, ~390mA for both (or one, not sure) cores is a bit high.
Take care,
Charles

Charles,
The two cores are running in lock step. It is not possible to turn one off.

As a further comment to Zhaohong's response, the additional CPU in lockstep is not a primary draw of leakage current on the product when the sum of all digital logic is considered. Even if the option were present, disabling the checker CPU would not make a large difference in worst case device power consumption. Consider utilizing the hardware power domains to disable unused regions of peripheral logic if static power reduction is needed.

Karl
