LM4F232H5QD evaluation board, writing to SD Card

HI,

I just started to work on LM4F232H5QD evaluation board. I'm planning to write a txt file to the sd card.

I've read all the sample code in \StellarisWare\boards\ek-lm4f232 folder, but there is no sample code on how to write onto the sd card.

Can anyone give me some hint of this? Or is there any sample code that I can refer to?

Look at any of the Stellaris Cortex-M3 boards with an SD-Card socket...

Be sure that you have the StellarisWare® Complete installation; "all boards, all components":

From your StellarisWare top folder, just search for "sd_card" - my Rev 9453 installation has eight "sd_card" folders...

The SD Card "simplified" specifications - which detail the SPI mode - are available for free from the SD Association: https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/pls/

The Stellaris examples all use the 3rd-part FatFs file system. This is provided in the third_party\fatfs folder.

Note that there is a third_party\fatfs\doc folder containing the FatFs documentation - in both English and Japanese.

It contains links to the the FatFs Application Note and User Forum and many other resources regarding the use of SD Cards on microcontrollers.

Speaking of that - only today appears formal, broadcast (as sticky) proclamation of vendor's unfortunate M3 NRND situation.

You felt "compelled" to organize, to place needed data in one place - to thus ease, speed & comfort, "others." (re: SD card)

Vendor may do well to better adopt such, "ease/speed/comfort" - so natural for you! Pity that "scatter-site" (w/out proclamation) responses persisted so long...
