Hi experts:
My HET IDE encounter a problem when I start it.
"HET IDE could not parse \resource\hpetdevice definitions.xml file", the message suggest me reinstall the software, but the error comes again after re-installation.
What's wrong?
Thanks!!!

Hi,
Is this the actual quote? Checking my installation of HET IDE I have a file 'resources\HETDeviceDefinitions.xml' but no 'hpetdevice_definitions.xml'.
Some other things that would help to know:
- version of HET IDE you are using.
- OS version
- OS language (English, or other character set?)
- How was the HET IDE installed (all users, just for you, or by another user on the same machine?)
Also, if you look at the path to HET.EXE by clicking the properties of the icon in the start menu,
and if you navigate to that folder (for me that folder is: C:\Users\a0xxxxxx\AppData\Local\Texas Instruments\Hercules\HET)
do you see a resources subdir and which XML files are in that folder.
Best Regards,
Anthony
Hi,
would you please do me a favor to check the version of your HET IDE. and there are two ways you can do to try to fix the error. The first one is you can re-install the software with another path and check whether it works. the second one is you can send us the HETDeviceDefinition.xml file as the attached file in this post and we will check whether there is any syntax error of it.
Thanks and Best Regards,
Ken
