Erase a single byte on the bank 1 of the flash memory

Hi,

I try to reprogramm a single Byte on the bank 1 of the flash memory on the TMS570. BUT i get the error INVDAT (this bit indicates that the user attempted to program a “1” where a “0” was already present).

effectively the content of this Byte is 0x00 and i would reprogramm this to e.g. 0x7F. That mean, at first I have to erase this and than write 0x7F into.

My quetion is:

is there a posibility to erase a single byte on the bank 1 of the flash memory on the TMS570? So that i can reprogramm this byte.

regards
