Free Running Counter Interrupt (OVLINTx)

Hello,

maybe it is too easy because I found nowhere, when the Free Running Counter overflows. Does it overflow when it reaches the value (2^32)-1 ? Or when it reaches any RTICOMPx value?

And is there any service routine for this overflow interrupt or what exactly happens when this interrupt appears?

Lena,

It overflow when it reaches the value (2^32)-1. In the interrupt service routine, all you need to do is to clear the overflow flag so that it can be set again in next overflow condition.

There is one question remaining: are the overflow interrupt channels the channels 6 and 7 or 7 and 8 in the VIM, by default?

Lena,

They are VIM channel 6 and 7. However, you need to put the ISR addresses to word 7 and 8 in VIM RAM. Word 0 of VIM RAM is reserved for phantom interrupt.
