Hello,
can you confirm that the description for comm mode on page 1393 of SPNU499a (nov 2012) and on page 1456 is wrong.
Idle-line mode is selected by 0 and address-bit mode is selected by 1, correct ?
Tristan.

Tristian,
Your observation is correct. please refer to the correct description below
Bit 0 COMM MODE SCI communication mode bit. Selects the SCI communication mode.
0 = Idle-line mode
1 = Address-bit mode
We will make an update to the TRM

Hello,
Is this true for the corresponding definition in the SCI/LIN Control Registers on page 1393 (SPNU499b)? The two definitions now contradict each other.
Thanks, Charlie Johnston
Hello Charles,
I just requested change to the SPNU499b in this regard. It should be:
SCI mode:
0: Idle-line mode
1: Address-bit mode
LIN mode:
0: ID4 and ID5 are not used for length control
1: ID4 and ID5 are used for length control
Thanks, Charles.
I can't mark this as the correct answer since I didn't start the thread.
