TMS570LS3137: Input Multiplexing on 337BGA Parts

Hello,

SPNU499A, Section 4.3.2, Table 4-2 list one signal (GIOB[2]) that has a dedicated ball and a multiplexed input ball.  There are additional signals that have the same option, for example N2HET1[31] on J17 and W9.  Is there a reason Table 4-2 does not include all dual-access signals?  Is there an easy way to determine all dual-access signals?

Thanks, Charlie Johnston

  • Hello,

Yes, that is correct. The additional signals are not shown in the terminal functions table as there is already a "dedicated" ball for these signals. We expect that only the dedicated terminals will be used for these signals. The second GIOB[2] input path has a special purpose in being able to generate an interrupt whenever the N2HET2_PIN_nDISABLE input is asserted.

That said, we do plan to include all the terminals available for each signal in a future update of the datasheets.

    Regards, Sunil
