Problems with Hercules Dev Board RM46L852ZWT

Hi,

I am using a Hercules Dev Board with the RM46L852ZWT.

When I attempt to debug a program on this board in CCS 5.3.0, it gives me the following error now: "Texas Instruments XDS100v2 USB Emulator/CortexR4 : Target must be connected before loading program."

-My board is connected via the mini-USB and is powered.

-I have been debugging programs for the last week just fine, but all of the sudden it is telling me this now.

Any help would be appreciated. Also, I can get more information if this is not enough!

Anthony,

This message means that the communication between debugger and the CPU (target) is not established. From CCS, you can do a "connect to target" operation to establish the communication link.

Hi Zhaohong,

Thank you for the advice, I was able to fix it by checking the "Connect to the target on debugger startup" box under the "Auto Run and Launch Options" in the Debug tab of project properties.

However, I am now getting:

"CortexR4: Flash operation timed out waiting for the algorithm to complete. Operation cancelled.

CortexR4: GEL: File: C:\~\CCS5.3\MyProject\Debug\MyProject.out: Load failed."

Any help is appreciated!

Anthony,

With CCS connected to CPU, you can do a "advanced system reset" and then load code to Flash.
