Shadow registers referred to in section 5.4.5 of Safety Manual for TMS570LS31x (SPNU511A)

Hello,

Section 5.4.5 of the Safety Manual for TMS570LS31x (SPNU511A) refers to shadow registers. The only ones I can find reference to in the TRM are related to the ESM which is covered in a different section of the safety manual.

Could you please clarify which shadow registers this section of the safety manual is referring to?

On a related note, can you confirm that RAM contents are left unchanged by a warm reset and that we could therefore use this mechanism to preserve data across a warm reset (with suitable CRC checking of data etc)?

In addition to the ESM register, there are other registers (like SYSESR) that preserve their content in spite of a reset. In this case the SYSESR is not specifically called out a 'shadow' register, but it has a similar functionality.

A system reset should preserve the contents of the memory.
