Hi all,

I'm using TPS65381 to control a TM570LS31337.

In case of WD_FAILURE and MCU_ERROR, I need to force the device in permanent STANDBY STATE (no restart). Is it possible ? In the affirmative, how ?

I 'm able to make the device enter the STANDBY state (from SAFE state) but it restarts because IGN pin is high.

NB: In my application CANWU pin is not connected and IGN pin is connected to a TL7700 voltage monitor with the only purpose to keep IGN pin low on start up. Due to this, I cannot use this pin to force a shut down.

TL7700 output is an npn open-collector transistor, therefore, you can still drive the IGN to zero by a third ASIC.

Question: Suppose the TPS65381 goes to standy state, how can you wake it up? Sounds to me that you have to control IGN or CANWU pin. I think there should be a third IC (or replace TL7700) to control the IGN pin.

Wen the TPS65381 goes in standby state I don't want wake it up. I need to hold it in standby state. Is passible to do it without a third IC using registers configuration?

I don't see a method with the IGN tied to high.

Once TPS65381 goes to standby mode, the IGN high will put it in the diagnostic mode again.
