Can I use J-LINK and IAR EW for ARM to program ECC section in TMS570LS3137?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS570LS3137

I am running Windows 7 Enterprise, IAR version 6.40.2.3992, with a Hercules TMS570LS3137 on own board with 20-pin JTAG.

Can I use J-LINK and IAR EW for ARM to program  ECC section?

Many thanks in advance.

AIK

  • Hello Kalamba,

I looked at the flash loader code that comes with IAR's EWARM v6.5 IDE for the TMS570LS3137.  They are using the feature of the F021 Flash API that automatically generates the ECC for the Flash being programmed.  As currently written, you could not program your own ECC values to the Flash ECC memory.

The source code for their flashloader for this device is located (when installed to default location) C:\Program Files (x86)\IAR Systems\Embedded Workbench 6.5\arm\src\flashloader\TexasInstruments\FlashTMS570LS3x\ which with some work and maybe some help from IAR, could be modified to program your own ECC values to the Flash ECC memory.
