Hello,
This may seem like a strange thing to do (seemed good at the time). With the lack of widely available lm4f120h5q parts I thought to remove the one off my launchpad and place it on the board I designed for my thesis that is based on the launch pad. I brought out PA0/U0RX_VCP_TXD, PA1/U0TX_VCP_RXD, DEBUG_PC0/SWCLK, DEBUG_PC1/TMS/SWDIO, DEBUG_PC2/TDI, and DEBUG_TDO/SWO on my board and shamelessly copied the stellaris Launchpad's target mcu design (U1). I removed the part successfully using a hot air rework station, with a specific nozzle for qfn packages.
My issue seems to be that with the target chip removed the 3.3V regulator (U8) is not turning on. Since it's enable is tied to VBUS it should still turn on when the usb is connected, so would could be holding it off? Does anyone have any thoughts or recommendations on doing this?
Thank you in advance for your time and assistance.
