SCI Receicve is not working TMS570LS

Hi,

Im developing application for TMS57LS1227 in that SCI receive is not working.

I'm checking in loopback in that if i see the status of SCIFLR its showing SCI is in IDLE condtion.

can u please share any working example proect so that i ca check in my board.

Hi,

The demo s/w that is part of our USB and HDK kits uses SCI communication for the demo itself.

If you have one of our kits and installed the s/w that came with it, you should already have it. If not, you can find it here:

Hi Arora,

I dont have any USB and HDK kits.

Please review the attached code in that transmission is wo0361.dmasci.crking fine.But RXRDY flag will not set even in Loop Back mode.

Please do the needful.

Silpa,

After initialization of SCI and before starting to receive or transmit data, it is necessary for the SCI to detect and IDLE period.

The IDLE bit in SCIFLR will indicate that SCI is ready (IDLE = 0)

In your code add the following:

    /* Finaly start SCI */
    sciREG->GCR1 |= (1U << 7U);

   while ((sciREG1_SG->FLR&0x4)==0x4);   //Wait for IDLE bit to be cleared.

    sciREG->TD = 0xAA;
