TMS570 interface with SRAM

I want to interface tms570 with sram, as shown below, is it compulsory to place damping resistor on the address and data lines, and i am curious to know what will happen if place it or not.

Eswaran,

The damping resistors are inserted to reduce the ringing caused by by reflection on the bus due to impedance mismatch. Ringing could cause data read or write error if it is too strong.
