Hie,

I am working on the TMS570LS31x HDK, I am Sending and receiving CAN messages with a Extended ID i.e. 29 bits,

But I want to Receive a Can Message only with the 11 bit ID i.e a Std CAN message.

Can You please Guide me on this? as I am really stuck with this.

To use standard ID, you need to clear the Xtd bit in the IFx arbitration register. I am attaching a code example for setting up a DCAN module for communication. there is a readme file to illustrate how to use it in c-code.

Thanks a Lot for the information, I understood what needs to be done,

But can you please help me on How?

I am Generating the code using Halcogen to Configure the CAN Module, Soo it is by default taking the id to be an Extended one,

So Is there any setting in Halcogen to select the ID to be a Std one, or If you could help me to guide the changes in the Code generated by halcogen, I am attaching herewith.

Where is the problem? HalCoGen -> CAN1 -> CAN1 General -> "Enable Identifier Extension". Just uncheck this option.
