What is the difference between EK-TM4C123GXL and EK-LM4F120XL?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: EK-TM4C123GXL

What is the difference between EK-TM4C123GXL and EK-LM4F120XL?

Would you let me know the difference between LM4F120 chip and TM4C123 chip?

Are there bugs at LM4F120?

I have only EK-LM4F120XL launchpad.  How about the approach of TivaWare over EK-LM4F120XL?

Thanks

I have compiled and run the examples\boards\ek-tm4c123gxl\qs-rgb poject from TivaWare 1.0 on a EK-LM4F120XL launchpad. So, TivaWare is applicable to the LM4F120.

By comparing the Stellaris® LM4F120 LaunchPad Evaluation Board User Manual SPMU289A and Tiva™ C Series TM4C123G LaunchPad Evaluation Board User's Guide SPMU296 I found the following differences:

    1) The EK-TM4C123GXL doesn't populate the U4 (TLV803MDBZR Voltage Supervisor with Active-Low, Open Drain Reset), R17 and D2 components, Comment on the schematic is "OMIT this SYS Section for TIVA. Errata fixed".

    2) The EK-LM4F120XL has a USB-B Micro-B connector for USB device connectivity.

The EK-TM4C123GXL has a USB Micro A/B connector for USB device, host, and on-the-go (OTG) connectivity. OTG functionality can be enabled by populating R25 and R29 with zero ohm resistors.

    The TM4C123 has additional functionality:

    - USB host and on-the-go support

    - Hardware QEI

    - Hardware PWM
