Luigi,
Can you tell me which board/device you are using? Also what is the link used to connect the board to your PC? (Xds100, other...)
Hi,
I'm usign the Hercules Development Kit TMS570 MCU with TMX570LS3137 CPU
The Link is the Usb port.
Luigi,
Ok now that I know which board and emulator you are using I can try to help you.
First can you have a look to the following post and check is the drivers for the XDS100 are correctly installed on your machine.
http://e2e.ti.com/support/microcontrollers/hercules/f/312/t/270213.aspx
Try to connect with CCS to see if everything is ok and let me know.
Hi Jean-Marc and Luigi,
I suggest to close the thread with the same issue.

We can focus on this here.
Thanks.

Ok,
So we can focuse on this post.
Summarizing: I've got HDK TMS570 MCU with the Demos software and CCS v4 installed on y laptop which has Windows 7 32bit.
And my nowFlash version is the 3.41 and it is installed in the directory C:\ti\nowFlash\v3.41
When I try to use the Demos software it return the message in the image:
What can I do?
Luigi,
CCS 4 is an old and obsolete version. I will recommend to upgrade to CCS5.3
Also you can have a look to this post:
http://e2e.ti.com/support/microcontrollers/hercules/f/312/t/270213.aspx
Luigi,
Within CCS, are you able to access the target device and program it?
For more detail on how to download code from CCS please have a look to the following post:
http://e2e.ti.com/support/microcontrollers/hercules/f/312/t/270213.aspx
In this thread, you will find a simple Hello_World project and the step by step procedure to import the project in CCS and to download the code in the device.
Luigi,
am I right that you are somewhere in Europe? If so, please try to set your PC from Europe to US- or UK - English Keyboard and Region. I have been told that the Safety demo is labview - based and somehow the existing application is not able to distinguish between a comma (,) in Europe and a the fullstop (.) in US. The path - to nowflash includes the version number (3.40 or 3.41) and this is the point, where the demo fails.
I think I have posted this answer in multiple threads. Wouldn't it be good to attach a sticker to the Demo for the guys in Europe? Or, to change the demo so that it accepts both the fullstop and the comma for the decimal divider?
Thanks Jean-Marc,
this demo code works and the "Hello word" appears in the Console but in the it gives me an error about a missing exit.c file:
Can't find a source file at "/tmp/TI_MKLIBaWhlp2/SRC/exit.c
Locate the file or edit the source lookup path to include its location.
But unfortunately the nowFlash still gives me the same problem also with the v3.42
Thanks Franks for your reply,
I've tryed to change the International setting of my PC but unfortunately this thingh changes nothing.
Maybe had I do something wrong?
