I am having problems running projects. I am using CCS5.4.0 and HALCoGen 3.5.2; I have a TMS570LS3137 board using TI XDS100v2 USB Emulator. I can run the demos just fine. When I add my own project I get the following:

~ In the debug perspective connected to the target and see the following message in the console window: "CortexR4: GEL Output: Memory Map Setup for Flash @ Address 0x0"

~ When I pause the run I see in the Debug window:0x00000004 (no symbols are defined for 0x00000004)

~ In the Disassembly window it seems to be stuck at address 0x00000004 which has no instructions there (all FFFFF's)

It doesn't seem to run the startup generated from HalCoGen.

What did I miss?

Please check sys_link.cmd file.

Is it 'gray' in your project settings?

No - the sys_link.cmd file is not grayed out.

Hello Haixiao,

Thank you so much for your help. Attached is my project. I believe I didn't assimilate the HALCoGen info into CCS% properly...

The problem is: the only file included in this project is main.c.

I fixed the problem by put all the other files in the project folder. An alternative way is to add link to all these c files.

Hello Haixiao,

Thank you that helped a lot. As you can tell I'm a newbie... I have one more question: How do I import a folder? I can import files-but it looks so much nicer in folders.

The easiest way is to copy that folder to your project folder in the windows explorer. Then CCS will take it once you rebuild the project.

If you don't want to copy/duplicate the file, you can use "add file" in CCS to link it to your project.
