Hercules mcus can detect the ECC errors of the flash and the ram, I wonder about the reasons which led to those errors? How did that errors happen?

Thanks for responding, do you mean the programmed cell's value may be changed by the program unexpected? Why a cell going bad occur? Do you have any references about that. I'm a fresh that I've little experience about the ECC errors happening.

Electrical or magnetic interference inside an ECU can cause a single bit memory to spontaneously flip to the opposite state. (Soft Error)
ECC will be able to catch this kind of event.

I did not word it the same way Jean-Marc did, but I was referring to soft errors.
