Questions about switching to Tivaware

Hi,

I am running a Lenovo Laptop with Ubuntu 12.04 and developing projects for a LM4F120 board.  I am currently using Stellarisware and my boss and I are trying to understand more about Tivaware, how it relates to the target and what options it has.

As for specifics, I'd like to know if there would be any issues migrating over to Tivaware?  Are the libraries the same, including the peripheral library? What would be the advantages of migrating and if we choose not to migrate what problems, if any, would come up.

Thanks,

CJ

  • CJ,

TivaWare is basically StellarisWare rebranded. We incorporated a couple of changes that we had wanted to make for a while (moving all examples under the "examples" directory and switching all APIs to use C99 types) but, other than that, it's really just the same software as before with a new name. Porting existing StellarisWare projects across to TivaWare is very easy and you can find full instructions in this application note.
