At the end of STC Selftest are Dual Core Registers guranteed to be EQUAL?

Hello Support,

I understand that at Power On Reset, all the CPU Registers of Dual Core may not be in the same state. Hence we need to initialize to a known state for all the CPU Registers using MOV instruction. Otherwise CCM Error might occur.

At the end of STC Self Test, is it guranteed that all the CPU Registers of Dual Core will be in the same state and hence there will be no CCM Error?

Thank you.

Pashan

  • Hello Pashan,

The STC will reset the CPUs at the end of the test.  Therefore it is necessary to execute the same initialization code as after power-on reset to confirm the CPU registers are at known values before safety critical operations are initiated.
