booster packs and Tiva Launchpad compatibility

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC110L

Hi,

Does anyone know if 430BOOST-CC110L - CC110L RF Module BoosterPack is hardware compatible

with Tiva Launchpad?

And more generally what is the compatibility between MSP430 and Tiva Launchpads booster packs?

Jan

  • Hi Jan,

The 430BOOST-CC110L is not compatible with the Tiva Launchpad by default.

In general, booster packs for MSP430 launchpads are pin compatible with the Tiva launchpad. You can find more information on the booster pack interface in the booster pack design guide. While the 430BOOST-CC110L is pin compatible with Tiva, it comes with software from Anaren that is designed specifically for MSP430. You can contact Anaren to see if they have any software targeted towards the Tiva launchpad.

    Regards,

    Sam

  • Thanks Sam,

I need to check and compare the schematic diagram of both Launchpads, but I guess they are hardware compatible in that way,

that it is possible to configure the signals on extension connectors to interface with required booster pack. However if there is no source code

given with the 430BOOST-CC110L the software has to be created from scratch, which beats the benefits off launchpads and booster packs.

Is there a source code (in C) given?

    Jan

  • Yes, the source code can be found on the included CD, the contents of which are also located on Anaren's website.
