Hello,

I am working on a project where we need to upgrade firmware on the device in the field , i understand that this may be achieved using the bootloader of Tivaware but i have the following questions

I am using TM4C123GH6PZ processor

1 >> Can i upgrade the firmware using USB stick / thumb drive ?

2 >> Can the upgrade be done on windows 7 using GUI or any other methods

3>> If i want to lock the flash what options are available (hardware / firmware)

Thanks for that , do you have any idea about locking the flash so that it is in-accessible by the end user . Should I use the MPU/Memory Protection Unit for this ??

Thanks for the reply , Could you list out the various ways in which firmware can be upgraded via USB and provide the links to documents/resources for the same , you may reply to this query in another post I have created here as it is easy for others to locate too

Abhay,

You can use LMFlash Programmer, which is available here. Click the help button in the tool to see documentation on how to use the USB interface. You can use the usb_stick_update example that is referenced earlier in the thread. You can get this example by downloading the EK-LM4F232 software here. Documentation about the example can be found in the TivaWare tree in the docs directory. Look for the SW-EK-LM4F232-UG-1.0 pdf.
