Unfortunately "How to build bar code readers" is outside the scope of this forum.  I found a wealth of information by doing a basic search on popular search engines.

I would discourage re-inventing the scanning mechanism.  There's almost certainly an off-the-shelf scanner out there that will be cheaper than starting from scratch.  Regardless, once you have your barcode string, you will find plenty of HID examples in our Tiva-Ware release that illustrates how to create HID packets and send them to the host.

I was wondering about why you want to create a barcode reader? Why not use a third party control barcode reader? Nowadays many people read barcodes through this way. It is convenient and saving time. If you really want to create your own, I suggest you make a research on some good barcode readers on the Internet and read the reading guide passages as many as possible. It may help you create your own more powerful barcode scanner.

i know a Barcode Reader. dll , which supports code 128, pdf 417,qr code etc. and scans and recognizes barcodes from any directions in C#, VB class and console application

well, you may chech this barcode scanners which including usb barcode scanner

i think you need some sample codes help you.and each barcode have different types requirement. please see if you can have some qr code reading tutorials on the web.

As for me, I am testing the related online pdf-417 barcode generator these days. Do you have any ideas about it? Or any good suggestion? I am totally a green hand on barcode generating field. Any suggestion will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I think code 128 barcode reader for .net and code 128 reader for java are good references for you.

These two are common used.

You can search them on google, and looking forward your barcode reader development will be finish soon.
