I got this error when trying to erase TMS570 using CCS Uniflash:

The JTAG chain contains 3 devices: TMS570 - FPGA SPARTAN 6 - PIC. I used CCS 5.4.0 to generate the ccxml configuration file.

1. Let me know which TMS570 device variant you are using

2. Can you share your ccxml configuration file?

Hi Arnaud,

Sorry for delayed response.

There is nothing wrong with the xml file.

This error might occur when the Flash algorithm during initialization did not return control to the host (in this case, the Flash DLL). This usually indicates there is something wrong on the target device.

Do you have any code which is running on the target which causes UniFlash not to work correctly?

Hi Siddharth,

I'm pretty sure that the target is good since it is the prototype board used by our software developper. He uses IAR tools without any problem.

In my case, I wanted to use UniFlash as a production tool to program the board. Of course, the device will often runs code that should be erased... In this case, the erase algorithm should work, right?

Is there anything else we can check?
