LM4F230 USB Bootloader issue

Dear Sir,

Since i didn't get any forum related to above said controller, i'm posting here...

We are using LM4F230 in out project and within a week we need to show prototype demo to client... finally it will be moved to Tiva...

we are able to work with USB mass storage file operations like file open, read & write...

However, we are not able to make bootloader to work...

we are using usb_stick_update and is compiled with all the required changes for LM4F230. and is programming...

when we insert pendrive with application program, it gets enumerated, but reaches timeout in ReadAppAndProgram function...

we tried same code with LM4F232 evaluation board, it works fine... it gets timeout in LM4F230... why is that... need urgent support.....

Shrivardhan,

I can't offer much help without the complete part number of your LM4F230 device.

My guess, however, is that your LM4F230 part has less flash than the LM4F232H5QD found on the EK board. If you load the usb_stick_update symbols in your debugger you should be able to see the call stack. Knowing exactly where in ReadAppAndProgram() the code stopped will provide essential clues about the cause of failure.

Check your full part number on your device with the product list on http://www.ti.com/lsds/ti/microcontroller/tiva_arm_cortex/c_series/tm4c_arm_cortex-m4/products.page

Check to ensure that the device you are using has OTG for USB, and not device only. Under USB, D represents device only.

If your devices are marked with a LM4Fxxx then let me know the full part marking, and I will translate it for you.
