TMS570 sample code using CCS v4 or v5

I haven't used TI micros for over a decade and I'm struggling to get started with the TMS570 using CCS v4 ( I have a time limited copy of v5 as well, but I'm having the same problems with that ). The hardware I'm using is the HDK.

What would really help is if someone has a really basic application, with startup code, that just waggles a port pin or something like that. Just anything that is completely trivial that drives the hardware.

Andy,

The HalCoGen tool included with your kit and available on the TMS570 Software Page is also a very useful tool that will allow you to setup your initial code via a GUI interface.

That works. I now have code that executes on the HDK. There is one little problem that came up. The code that is generated by HalCoGen is, quite sensibly, divided into directories called 'source' and 'include', however the source files have the lines #include "filename.h", which looks in the current directory for the header files and consequently doesn't find them.

If I copy all the header files into the source directory, then it builds. There's probably a more elegant way of doing this, but this gets me started.
