Apparent error in TM4C123GPM July 2013 data sheet -USBGPCS register description

There appears to be an error on page 1198 of the data sheet regarding the setting  of DEVMODOTG bit. The DS states that

DEVMODOTG Value  0  -The mode is specified by the state of the internal ID signal.

                  

 Should this not read external ID signal.   Please clarify.

    I can see how that is a bit confusing.  When DEVMODOTG is 0, the mode is set by the state of the ID pin based on OTG signalling and not forced to host or device mode.  In other words it acts as a USB OTG device.  I am not sure why we specify "internal" in that line since there is no difference between external and internal state of that pin.
