question about the MCU chip select

Hi,

I've just made a board with the TMS570LS3137-PGE, I want to know that whether the MCU chip TMS570LS1227-PGE can be used in the board without any change? Some of the application may not need so much more FLASH and the RAM. But design a new board is time cost.

Or you have some better selection?

The MCU's function need the Ethernet and the 2 at least can control device.

Yes, the LS1227 and LS3137 are 100% compatible in the PGE package. There is an application note that describes some considerations to keep in mind when moving your application from the LS3137 MCU to the LS1227 MCU. This note is available here: SPNA144
