LaunchPad Evaluation Kit Hibernation problems

Hi,

I am currently going through the evaluation kit and when I debugged the hibernation program in lab 6 and it crashed like the workshop said it might, but now the board will not make any connection.  I have tried holding the SW3 to wake while connecting to the board in case the hibernation mode is preventing connection but this does not seem to work.  I would think worst case I should connect through PuTTY, but this fails as well.  I would like to hard reset my board, but this does not seem possible without a connection.  Is there a hardware modification to wipe the flash?

See LM4F120H5QR Stuck in Hibernation Mode for a possible solution.

  • Thank you.  I thought I had tried this already but I must have held the reset button too late.  It might be more clear to simply say to hold the reset button before proceeding to next step rather than hold reset button during power on.  I believe during the step where it says to assert and hold the reset button during startup, I clicked ok, then powered off,  powered on, then immediately held reset, then clicked the next ok.  This did not work.

What did work was simply holding reset prior to clicking ok to that step.  Then following the prompts.

    Thanks again for the help.
