Is it possible to test FlexRay with only one TMS570 MDK/MCU Development kit?

Hi~

I have only one TMS570 MDK/MCU Kit and there’s no other FlexRay device but i want to test FlexRay.

Is it possible to test FlexRay with only one TMS570 MDK/MCU Development kit by using FlexRay1 and FlexRay2 on TMS570 !?

Thank you.

Regards

JosenHong

  • Hi Josen,

To use flexray, you need flexray transceiver. The HDK doesn't have flexray transceiver. You need to develop your own adaptor board for flexray. Please download the schematics and layout of HDK experimental board as reference. The experiemntal board supports CANs, and Flexray, and Lin, and it has a U shap connector for HDK.

  • Hi QJ Wang,

I want to test FlexRay Interface on the MCBTMS570 Development Kit.

The FlexRay interface is provided at the Flexray1 and Flexray2 connectors on the MCBTMS570 base board.

Is it possible to test Flexray communication by using the Flexray1 and Flexray2 on the MCBTMS570 base board?

The FlexRay1(BM,GND,BP) connect to the FlexRay2(BM,GND,BP) on the MCBTMS570 base board.

    Thank you.

    Regards

  • Hi Josen,

There are 2 flexray transceivers on MDK baseboard. One transceiver is for flexray channel 1 and one for channel 2. Base on flexray protocol, the communication has to be channel 1 of node x  to channel 1 of node y, and channel 2 of node y to channel 2 of node y. If you want to text flexray, you need another MDK board or your own development board with flexray transceiver and interface.
