Hi,

 

Could you please address tha below queries regarding the subject part number:

1. Please let us know what are the IIH (Input Current High) and IIL (Input Current Low) values for the GPIOs of TM4C1231E6PM.

 

2. Regarding VBAT pin of TM4C1231E6PM. Please let us know whether there is any battery reversal protection in built to the microcontroller, if not suggest any part to use along with battery for supplying VBAT pin.

 

3. In datasheet of TM4C1231E6PM, it is mentioned as "The Hibernation module power source is determined dynamically", this means no need to use external switching circuit to switch in between external VDD and Battery supply on VBAT pin. Please confirm on this.

 Soonest response would be appreciated!!!

    Rama,

    1) Take a look at the datasheet for the part (http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/tm4c1231e6pm.pdf) I believe Table 27-1 is what you're looking for.

    2) Again I recommend looking at the datasheet. If its not there then it is safe to assume its not present. I do not have any experience with battery protection, but i'm sure TI has a part for it somewhere in our vast catalog.

    3) Correct. If there are two independent power sources supplies the VBAT power supply will be chosen over the VDD power supply.

    Your comments are appreciated.  However - would not the method described above cause needless draw from the battery?  More normal/customary would be to choose that supply with the highest voltage output - not the "always" selection of VBAT power - regardless of voltage levels...
