ADC Trigger source

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS570LS3137

I'm using the TMS570 HDK and I'm trying to get the ADCs working. Initially I'm just trying to read the onboard temperature sensor. In the document SPNU499B it says...

The conversion groups Group1 and Group2 are software-triggered by default. A conversion in these
groups can be started just by writing the desired channels to the respective Channel-Select Registers.

This infers that groups 1 & 2 could be hardware triggered, but I can't find which register determines this. I've looked in the datasheet for the TMS570LS3137 too and I can't see it there either. Could you point me in the right direction please?

Thanks

Andy

  • Hi Andy,

Group1 and group2 mode control registers have the fields to configure these groups to be hardware-triggered. These are the G1 HW TRIG and G2 HW TRIG fields in the G1MODECR and G2MODECR control registers respectively.

These registers are described on pages 714 through 717 of SPNU499b.
