Certified code composer libreries

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS570LS20216

Hi,

we are using the TI TMS570LS20216 on the design of an avionic safety critical equipment.

All the SW is requested to be DO-178B DAL A compliant.

We need to use the following TI libraries for the developed SW:

-          Run Time Support Library

-          F035 Flash API Library

Do TI provide any artifacts/lifecycle-data that can be used to show/claim compliance of the above mentioned libraries to DO-178B DAL A in front of the Certification Authority?

Thanks in advance,

Mario Filippi

  • Mario,

There is a certification kit for the compiler:  http://www.ti.com/tool/safeti_cqkit

I don't know enough about it to tell you how it covers the runtime library but we can ask.

For the F035 flash library this was developed years ago and is QM software. There is the option to acquire the sources for the library for your own inspection / testing.

UPDATE1 :  The compiler cert kit itself does not cover the runtime support library.  However the sources to the runtime support library are included w. the compiler and can be imported into your own safety process.

UPDATE 2:  While the cert kit doesn't cover the runtime library, there is a test suite that comes with the cert kit that you could make use of to provide test cases for the runtime lib.
