Interfacing TMS570LS04 Hercules Developement kit

i have a query in Hercules developement kit TMS570 MCU....

I want to interface the Electronic Control unit of the Car with the Hercules developement kit TMS570 MCU for

transmitting data through CAN....  How to interface this ECU with Hercules kit ...

does any one know please help me....

    Hercules launchpad has CAN Transceiver ....

    Im doing a project on automobile sir...  i need to control the Anti lock Braking system ( ABS ) control unit Electronically .... For that i need to communicate with ECU of the car.

    I need to Interface the Overall Electronic Control Unit ( ABS Control , Traction Control,Electronic Stability,Cruise Control etc...)  of the Car  with the Hercules Launch pad  Sir..

    Can u help me for this sir....

    Jothi,

    Cool - I wasn't aware of that.

    You would need to contact the ECU manufacturer.  You'll be interacting with their software running on their ECU.
    If you actually want to take over control of the ECU I don't know if you'll have much luck - but you could try.

    We really can't provide any help on this though, other than on using the CAN controller of the part that is on the launchpad.

    And you might have better luck with a tool that can send CAN messages first, then later try to write the code to send the same messages w. the launchpad.    I think learning how to talk to the ECU will be a challenge itself whereas once you know what messages to send the launchpad part should be straightforward.

    is there any way to control ABS Control Module sir  without the inclusion of ECU ?? If so how to transmit datas through CAN tranceiver from hercules to ABS Control unit

    I m lagging in this area sir... i tried and collected data ...but it is insufficient and i m not able to get link with any resource person....

    Can u suggest  me any links or other details which will be available in online...

    Jothi,

    No, today the ECU electronics are usually built right into the same module that houses the valves and pump motor.

    You might check out SAE.  They have lots of papers and books on the topic.  Note that ABS is a very mature technology now and so you should expect very tight integration.

    Can u please refer me any sample coding for Hercules Development kit i.e. ( automotive Electronics )  real time   and any other links related automotive electronics of TI .
