nRST problem on TMS570

Hello guys,

I have a problem with TMS570 kit. nRST pin is always low because of this problem i am not able to flash.

i checked PORRST pin also, it is always high.

Initially when i am switching ON. nRST Pin is going high for 2-3mS after that it is always low.

kindly help me, any suggestions from you would be greatly appreciated.

Padmrish,

Looks like there is some code in flash which on execution is in turn placing the device in a state to drive the nRST.

So you can try the programming process where erasing happens first by holding the nPORRST(keeping it low) once the tool is trying to gain access to the part, try releasing the reset (driving it high, try this a few times if it doesn't work the first time).

What this eventually does is to gain access and stop CPU from execution before it executes the code which ends up in driving the nRST.
