How to use can2 and can 3 pins as GIO on TMS570LS1227?

Hello,

"The values of the IO Control registers are only writable if Init bit of CAN Control Register is Cleared." is written at "27.17.29 TIOC" and "27.17.30 RIOC" in TRM of TMS570LS1227. Is the description correct?

I tried to do this, but "Func", "Dir", "Out", "In" bits are not writable.

Could you teach me the correct flow to use CAN 2 and CAN3 pins as GIO?

Hi All,

he statement in the TRM is wrong.

The TIOC and RIOC registers can be used to drive the CAN terminals as general-purpose I/Os only when the INIT bit is set.
