I am considering using one of the RM46 series for an application where it is driving three motors and doing the various computations for controlling them, and in communication with higher level control over an ethernet link.
This errata about device I/Os is potentially a serious issue, and yet the description is very vague. For how long do the i/o pins "toggle"? A few nanoseconds, or 50 msec? Do they all toggle, or only some? Do they turn on once, or may they oscillate for the entire duration of the reset?
If I have PWM1A and PWM1B driving a totem pole of MOSFETs, with a nice dead band to prevent shoot thru, what happens on a "Warm Reset"? If they both toggle to the ON state at the same time, they would burn up my circuit board. Or in a less catastrophic case, the motors might move unpredictably.
Can anybody supply some detail about this issue?
