Yes, it is capable of control 2 or more motors.
1. From CPU load viewpoint, here are some benchmarks, look at the 2nd and 3rd column. The Benchmark was taken when CPU runs at 80MHz and it is capable of run at 180MHz. So, the time running at maxium speed should about half of these numbers. In other words, you can treat the CPU Utilization as what you need to drive two motors.

2. From periphals viewpoint, it has two NHETs, two eQEPs, 6 eCAPs, 7 pairs of ePWMs, 2 ADC cores, it can control lots of motors.
