Tiva C series Launchpad Programming problem

Hi all,

I was programming my Tiva C series Launchpad (TM4C123G) using the LM flash programmer when suddenly my board stopped responding to programming commands from the LM flash programmer. LM flash programmer gives the error "Unable to Intialize !". I tried on different laptops with LM flash programmer and even CCS. CCS also gives the same error .

Even though my program does not include JTAG pin re-assignment I tried the unlocking method as given on this forum using the LM flash programmer. LM flash programmer says "Unlock successfull". But even after that the Launchpad refuses to program.

Kindly suggest some remedy

Hi,

After "unlock successful", Did you try to load another program? What was the error message?

What OS are you using? Windows 8?

I indeed tried programming it again . I got the same message "unable to initialize target !" . Yes i am using windows 8

Hi,

Try "hold reset" while using the LM Flash Programmer Debug Port Unlock Utility.

There was a recent post regarding Tiva Launchpad, Keil Uvision, Windows 8, with a similar failure message "Unable to initialize target. The solution to the problem was to use the LM Flash Progammer Debug Port Unlock Utility to recover the Launchpad. See post below.
