TMS570LS1224 in HalCoGen?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS570LS1227, HALCOGEN, TMS570LS1224

Hi;

After playing around in HalCoGen 03.06.00 with the TMS570LS1227 (for which we have the TMS570 Hercules Development Kit), I was trying to select the TMS570LS1224 which we plan to include in an upcoming project.

I was unable to find the TMS570LS1224 and it has not been immediately obvious from the TI developer site how to find and/or include a 'plugin' for the TMS570LS1224.  Clicking on the HalCoGen link from the TMS570LS1224 page takes me to the general download for HalCoGen 03.06.00 which appears to be the same version that came with the TMS570LS1227.

Is the TMS570LS1224 supported by HalCoGen?  If so, where/how would I enable this support in HalCoGen?

Thanks in advance,

Joe Shidle

  • Hello:

    LS1227 is the super-set device of LS1224. In Halcogen you'll find definitions for the super-set device, so as far as I know there won't be an specific support for your requested device.

    In Halcogen you can select which peripherals are generated and which are not. You can trim your project depending on your needs.

    Regards.

  • Thanks for the response.  I spent some time looking through the datasheets comparing the 1227 with the 1224 and they do appear to be the same pinouts, so I will go forward using the 1227 in HalCoGen for our 1224 platform.

    Thanks again,
