Please help. Can't install Tiva. I only see 1 device in "Other Devices". Drivers won't install.

There's only one listed in the Other Devices and when I try to install the driver. I keep getting "Windows could not find driver software for your device" message.

I've tried the board on a friend's computer and I see 3 devices plus a usb device on his so I know the board is working.. I even tried to use a powered USB hub but it hasn't worked for my laptop either.

I'm using Windows 7, Dell Inspiron 1564.

I've tried both the drivers from here and from the UT.6.01x TeXas software and I get the same error message.

Hi Julian,

Did you download ICDI installer from the link below? There is also a Stellaris Installation Guide in the link that you can review.

I did all that already. The drivers won't install. The error to the right is what I get when I try to update the drivers.

Hi Vishnu, it appears there was a problem with one of the files in Windows. The following steps solved the issue. Let me know if it worked for you as well.

1) Go to the directory c:\windows\system32\driverstore\filerepository\ and copy any usb.inf file you see there. To quickly find one, use the search feature once you get to the directory and search for "usb.inf". You may see more than one appear. Copy anyone.

2) Go to the directory "c:\windows\inf\" and paste in the "usb.inf" file that you copied

3) In the driver manager, right click on "In-Circuit Debug Interface" and select uninstall

4) Unplug your TI board after it has finished uninstalling

5) Restart your computer

6) When Windows boots up again, plugin in the TI board. It should now recognized the USB composite device along with 3 other unknown devices. For me, Windows update got all the drivers I needed. You might need to install the drivers manually.

I have same problems on Win XP Pro SP3. In-Circuit Debug Interface drivers don't want to be installed. I gor error: "An error occured during the installation of the device. A service installation in this INF is invalid". Tried "usb.inf" solution from another computer but that don`t fix problem.

Maby problems on thies lines on stellaris_icdi_com.inf file?
