Hi,

Just to add a little bit more information.

We have been seeing exactly the same issues for the last year now. It happens on our development boards 10-20 times a day, however only when debugging.

When the application is executed from power-on-reset we have never seen this issue in >1K reset tests without the debugger connected.

We are using XDS100V2 debuggers from SpectrumDigital. Sometimes the debugger complains about stale breakpoint op-codes stuck in memory. Maybe this has something to do with it?

Hi Stomp,

Which silicon are you seeing this on? (part # and silicon revision).

There was an issue with revision A silicon on some of our products, with an interaction between reset and power domains. I think this is in an errata, but I have one of these boards on my desk and it's a problem quite often when debugging and issuing a system reset through the debugger. If you have this silicon the best answer would be to get the latest silicon version.

YFA-16A20VW.

I assume silicon rev A?

Yep,

the rev is the 3rd char in the code:

YFA-16A20VW

I'd strongly suggest getting a replacement board if possible - the rev A silicon is difficult to work with because of this issue.
