Dear All,

I am using Hercules RM42X launchpad.

I am interested to develop program with C++. But, HALCoGen is generating C files only. So, please tell me how to use C driver files along with C++ program files.

A simple program using C++ is loading & running. If I pause it for debugging, it throws an error "No source available for "0x4" ".

So, please clarify the procedure to generate driver files and develop programs in C++.

I would say: keep the HalCogen generated c and h files, using extern "C" to include the driver .h files, and rename sys_main.c to cpp. After that, you can write your own code in C++.

This is what I did for my c++ examples.

These two link are very helpful to mix c and cpp files.

I think the init routine needs to be changed in startup.c if you use global constructors, such as define a class as a global variable. I had that problem in my own code, and still look for the right init routine.
