Bench Power and Tiva LaunchPad

Hi Rick,

There is a jumper for H24 and H25 which can be removed and then a bench power supply connected to H24 to power up the TM4C123 device

Very happy to hear that I can supply bench power to this board.

Regarding H24 & H25... I am looking at spmu296.pdf and I can't relate these back to the board.

How about this?  I'm attaching a picture to what I think you are referring to. 

Can you take a look at it and confirm or correct accordingly?

Hi Rick,

I do not have the LaunPad with me handy, but looking at the PDF and the picture you sent it seems to be tje correct jumper. You can use the Schematic on Page-31 and Figure 4-1 on Pag-16 to isolate the header.

It should be marked. Another simple method is to remove the header and check which side is "not" 3.3V. That is where you can connect bench supply. Please do not forget to connect the GND

It worked!  Thank you.  I haven't been able to touch the project since we last spoke; but, it worked.

One more question and I will Close this and Verify.....

When I make programming changes, I need to hook up the USB connector. 

Can I have Bench Power connected and still use the USB port for Programming and Debugging?  Prefer not to fry the Board.
